Sea, Sand, and Sun in Mexico

A trip to Mexico never disappoints, and no matter how many times you go, you always want to go back! Traveler tip: always organize your transportation beforehand so that you get accurate pricing and don't mess up your schedule!

One of the best hotels in Cozumel is the Grand Velas. If will leave you awestruck. Either side of the entrance has white stone platforms which you drive through upon entering. These columns are both probably nearly 50 feet tall and 300ft wide! Going through the main entrance alone is a 3-minute taxi ride, which delights your eyes with fabulous sights and luxury and gives you a sneak peek of what to expect.

There are actually three parts to the Grand Velas' resort. The first is a Zen area, which is more in the jungle part of the environment and is suitable for kids. Second is the adults-only area on the beach, and the third part is also on the beach but it's for adults and kids.

The hotel is so clean and professional. You will be welcomed right away and given a tour of the hotel and grounds - the spa, the restaurant, the pool...no perk was spared! The staff at Grand Velas really covered their bases. Every guest at the hotel gets their own concierge; how cool is that? This hotel is definitely a great choice! Our concierge is so courteous and can take your reservations at the restaurants you want to dine at during your stay. They can also help with any transportation you might need, such as booking a rental car.

The French restaurant at the Grand Velas is magical. You'll get two waiters who will take wonderful care of you, and they make great recommendations as to what to eat. You'll be sure to get a really nice French dining experience, so ask the waiters to suggest some delicious and traditional French cuisine. There are snails and other exquisite food, and the waiters perfectly pair each dish with the right wine. Yum! You can see a full review of the restaurant here!

This hotel is near the Mayan ruins - absolutely breathtaking, and a must-see site when in Mexico. Just be careful about filming and using large cameras; you might get kicked out!

Near the ruins, take a walk along the little beach area, which is nice and pleasant. Then, take a stop at Tulum, It's very eco-friendly and has sort of a hippie vibe...yoga and delicious organic food. The easy-going atmosphere will keep you coming back!

For water lovers, try a snorkeling trip at the cenotes. The sea here is so clear; people dive, snorkel, and just enjoy the pristine waters. Another awesome dinner awaits you at the pairing restaurant at the Grand Velas. It is one of the most incredible dining experiences you will ever have, and you can even read a review: check it out here! After dinner, hit the bar next to the zen pool. There are drinks, dancing, and fun times! You'll sleep well after that!

Simply lounging by the pool was so perfect, and every single thing you eat here will be mouth-watering. The sea is so clear and pristine, and the white sandy beaches look like they were taken from a dream.

The top perks of the hotel are definitely the food, the cool swim-up bar, and for families, the nannies and age-appropriate entertainment for kids. For an all-inclusive hotel, you'll be blown away by how spot-on everything is.
